Starwest Botanicals Organic Spirulina Powder
- Amazon Reviews
Starwest Botanicals is a quality producer of supplements and herbs. I love their products and customer service. This is an excellent, healthy spirulina powder which is USDA Certified. However, when you receive the product there is a lack of labeling and nutritional information which makes some people wary! Keep reading to learn more or check out the customer reviews.
Starwest Botanicals started as a small retail herb shop in 1975 in Sacramento, California.Today, Starwest is one of the largest suppliers of organic herbs in the United States. The stand by their quality and offer 100% satisfaction guaranteed, which of course I love!
They’ve been around for a long time and have excellent customer service as evidenced by some of the reviews on their website.
Starwest Botanicals produces a certified organic spirulina powder at a good price.
Beware – this product is made in China, which concerns some Spirulina consumers. It might show up at your door in a bag with little to no labeling or nutritional information.
Starwest Botanicals claims that this product is USDA Certified Organic and also works directly with suppliers to ensure quality.
THE REAL DEAL
Tastes like standard spirulina, i.e. not that great 🙂
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“I have been buying organic teas and herbs grown in China for years and intend to continue to do so as long as I feel confident they are being properly monitored by USDA-accredited organizations. And by the way, the taste is just fine. As someone else stated, I added my berries, etc., and noticed no overwhelming or disturbing taste at all. ” – Terri, Amazon Review
“I’ve been drinking this spirulina in my morning shakes practically every day for years and I’m in top shape.” – Zaw, Amazon Review
“Spirulina is great, however, ordering this 1 pound bag has me questioning the company and their marketing tricks. The picture is of powder with a USDA organic label. The actual bag will arrive in a silver package, with a crooked sticker on it stating what it is, where it came from (China) and the company info: Starwest Botanicals. There is no other information on the package.”
